Bridal hair and makeup is a trial, a plan and a calm wedding morning. At SALT Salon + Spa in Antioch, IL, we offer complete bridal services in a modern, stylish space: formal hair, airbrush or classic makeup, and spa bundles for the bride and the groom. What Bridal Services Does SALT Offer?

Bridal hair. Every bridal hair service includes a formal style with veil pinning or hair jewelry application. We style the bride, bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids, flower girls and the mothers of the bride and groom.

Bridal makeup. Bridal makeup includes an airbrush application with lashes. A classic look is set with a traditional foundation or mineral powder and does not include lashes. We also offer a makeup trial for the bride, and airbrush or classic makeup for the wedding party.

Spa bundles. The Ultimate Bridal Spa Bundle and the Classic Bridal Spa Bundle combine skin care and waxing for the bride, and there is a bundle for the groom as well.
Do I Really Need a Bridal Hair Trial?
We strongly recommend one. A trial is where you try your look on a quiet day, so there are no surprises on the wedding day. You can bring your veil or hair jewelry, share your inspiration photos, and see how the style holds through the afternoon. Should I Choose Airbrush Makeup for My Wedding?
Airbrush makeup is applied as a fine mist for a smooth, lightweight finish, and our bridal makeup includes lashes. For the wedding party, choose airbrush makeup, or a classic look set with traditional foundation or mineral powder. The classic look does not include lashes. Should I Wash My Hair Before My Wedding Updo?
Come with your hair washed and dried, unless we have planned otherwise at your trial. Clean, fully dry hair gives your stylist the best base for an updo. If your hair will not be fully dry when you arrive, tell us ahead of time so we can plan your timing. Your stylist will give you specific instructions for your style at your trial.
What Is the Timeline for Bridal Hair and Makeup?

As soon as you have a date: email us your party size, dates and location, and we will send our bridal contract with the details.

Ahead of the wedding: make any bigger color or cut change first, then book your hair and makeup trial, ideally once you have chosen your dress and accessories.

A few weeks before: refresh your color, trim for shape and book your spa bundle services.

The week of: keep your routine simple, drink water and get some sleep.

Your wedding day: arrive with clean, dry hair, a button up top and a good snack.

What Should I Bring to My Bridal Trial?
Bring a few photos of hairstyles and makeup you love, and a couple you do not, so we can understand your taste quickly. Bring your veil, headpiece or hair jewelry if you have chosen them, and a photo of your dress, or better yet the neckline, since it shapes what works with your hair. Wear a top that is similar to the neckline you will wear on the day. If you plan to wear your hair up or half up, arrive with it clean and dry. Your trial is the time to talk through timing for your morning, so the wedding day feels familiar.
Can You Come to the Venue?
Yes. On location services are available on request, and a travel fee applies for each stylist or makeup artist needed. Tell us the size of your bridal party, your dates and your location, and we will build the plan around your morning.

Our salon is at 744 Main St Ste 101 in Antioch, and SALT has been open here since 2019. Every bridal style includes veil pinning or hair jewelry so the last detail is handled before you leave the chair.
